If you’re unsure, our free 15 minute consultation is usually the best starting point. This gives us time to briefly talk through your concerns, and child's needs, then decide together whether a 60 minute online consultation or full assessment would be helpful.

A full assessment involves a detailed understanding of your child’s strengths and challenges. This may include observation, informal or structured tasks, and discussion with parents and, where appropriate, school staff. You will receive a clear report with practical recommendations for home and school. If you have chosen an EHCP assessment the report and recommendations will be written and formatted specifically for this purpose.

A consultation is a more flexible, focused session where we explore your concerns, discuss your child’s daily life, and look at practical strategies you can start using straight away. In many cases it is often enough to provide clarity and next steps without needing a full assessment.

A consultation is a single 60 minute online session. A full or EHCP assessment will be completed in a single face to face session with your child, as well as a discussion with you and school where appropriate. The face to face assessment will take place at home or school, which ever is more appropriate.

Following a consultation you will receive a brief summary and strategies based on the concerns we discussed. Following a full or EHCP assessment you will receive a full written report with recommendations.

Yes. With your consent, I can communicate with schools to support consistent strategies across home and school settings, and help inform meetings or support plans if needed. This is particularly important if your main concerns are related to participation or access to education.

Occupational therapy can help children develop skills for everyday life, such as handwriting, coordination, attention, sensory regulation, and independence. The goal is always to improve confidence and participation in daily activities at home and school.

Not every child requires ongoing therapy. In some cases, the assessment may show that reassurance, environmental adjustments, or short-term strategies are enough. If further support is needed, this will be discussed clearly with you.
